Compatibility
Heart-rate monitors that work with GetInZone.
Any chest strap or armband below pairs with GetInZone — they all broadcast standard Bluetooth heart rate. The one exception is Apple Watch, which doesn't stream to third-party apps live, so you import from Apple Health instead.
Using an Apple Watch? It pairs with your iPhone, not GetInZone directly. Train with the Watch as usual, then your workouts import automatically from Apple Health — no extra strap needed.
Chest straps
Most accurate — best for zone and interval training.
Polar H10
Best overallThe gold standard. ECG-grade accuracy and rock-solid connectivity — its data is even used in academic sports-science research. Washable strap. Pairs with iOS, Android, third-party apps, and Garmin watches.
Garmin HRM-Pro Plus
Best for GarminGarmin's flagship strap. Stores runs when out of watch range and adds running dynamics like cadence and ground-contact time. The smoothest pick if you're already in the Garmin ecosystem.
Garmin HRM Dual
Simpler and cheaper than the Pro. Big battery life and can measure heart-rate variability. A solid, no-frills choice.
Polar H9
The H10's cheaper sibling — accurate, consistent, and comfortable, with the same reliable connectivity.
Wahoo TRACKR
Wahoo's newest strap, replacing the TICKR and TICKR X. Moves to a rechargeable battery with improved accuracy and durability.
Wahoo TICKR
Best valueThe value pick at around $50, with both Bluetooth and ANT+ for broad device support.
CooSpo H808S / H6
Budget chest straps that still cover both Bluetooth and ANT+ — a low-cost way into accurate chest-strap tracking.
Optical armbands
More comfortable than a chest strap — no band across your chest.
Polar Verity Sense
The popular, versatile optical armband. Comfortable to wear with both Bluetooth and ANT+ for wide compatibility.
Wahoo TICKR FIT
Optical rather than ECG, but in testing it proved as accurate as premium chest straps like the Polar H10 — with a 30-hour battery and IPX7 water resistance.
COROS Heart Rate Monitor
Comfortable with good battery life. Note it lacks ANT+, so it won't pair with some older gym equipment — fine for GetInZone over Bluetooth.
Scosche Rhythm+ 2.0 / Rhythm24
Good beginner pickDependable and comfortable, pairing with a wide range of apps and gym equipment. Around 24 hours of battery — a great first monitor.
Watches & bands
Convenient, but less reliable at high intensity.
Garmin watches (Forerunner, Fenix)
Broadcast heart rate over Bluetooth and ANT+, and are the most consistent wrist sensors against a chest strap — though they tend to slightly over-report max heart rate.
Apple Watch
Import via Apple HealthApple Watch doesn't stream live to third-party apps. Instead of pairing it directly, GetInZone imports your sessions from Apple Health on iPhone.
Peloton Heart Rate Band / Fitbit Charge 6
Simple wristbands for casual users who want a quick read rather than precision zone work.
Quick buying guide
Chest vs. arm
Wrist and optical sensors are fine for easy efforts but unreliable at threshold and above. For serious zone work, choose a chest strap; armbands win on comfort.
Bluetooth vs. ANT+
ANT+ is best for indoor cycling and broadcasting to multiple devices; Bluetooth is more universal across phones and watches. Bluetooth-only straps usually pair to one device at a time.
Battery
Chest-strap coin cells last roughly 300–400 hours — about a year of regular use. Optical armbands recharge and last under ~30 hours per charge.
Match your brand
If you already own a watch, a same-brand strap (Garmin strap with a Garmin watch, for example) gives the smoothest connection.
Prices are approximate and shown in USD. Brand names and specs are for reference only — GetInZone is not affiliated with these manufacturers, and availability or specifications may change.
